Liverpool is still struggling with their form and much of it is owed to the injuries. The likes of Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, and Arthur Melo are all injured and will be available after the upcoming World Cup.

Meanwhile, the German tactician also spoke about two players. He revealed in the Press Conference that the fixture would be too soon for Joel Matip and Naby Keita.

Moreover, Liverpool midfielder Thiago was also absent as Liverpool faced defeat against Nottingham Forest by 1-0. It was reported that he missed the game due to an infection in his ear.

Moreover, he also missed out again as Liverpool secured the chance to go to the knockout stages by defeating Ajax. The English giants won the fixture 3-0 against the Dutch side on Wednesday night.

Ray of hope for Liverpool as star man is set to return

The Liverpool management are sure that their star man would be available ahead of the clash against Leeds United. Jurgen Klopp expects Jordan Henderson to return in their upcoming match against Leeds United.

The Liverpool manager said:

“I expect Jordan Henderson to be okay. Thiago will return too. It’s still soon for Naby Keita and Matip is still out. You don’t have to ask about Diogo or Luis for a while.”

Moreover, Ibrahima Konate is also back with the squad from his injury. He was on the bench in the match against Ajax. Meanwhile, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin is also prepared to come back from his injury.

Moreover, Klopp in the interview said:

“For he Ajax game, we didn’t have more subs so we could take him [Konate] with us, but he was not really ready for this game. In a very serious situation in the last five minutes maybe, but he’s available now,”

Leeds United also has doubts about five important players. Leeds manager Jesse Marsch outlined that the fitness of Joe Gelhardt, Rodrigo, Luis Sinisterra, Liam Cooper, and Tyler Adams are all in doubt, along with Leo Fuhr Hjelde’s. It remains to be seen which the managers would prefer eleven.
