SA20 Commissioner Graeme Smith said it will always be an advantage if Indian players play SA20. But the decision will be in the hands of BCCI. The chances are more than other leagues in the world because all the owners of the SA20 league already have an IPL team. So that there is a high chance that Indian players might play in SA20 in the future.

In an interaction made by Jio Cinema, Graeme Smith told that

We think we are perfectly positioned if the BCCI ever changes their mind. Obviously, the relationship with the IPL owners does put us at an advantage, but it’s still a BCCI decision. We will work with Jay (BCCI secretary Jay Shah) and everybody else, and if they decide that there should be a change in the policy, then we will talk to them about it.”

Graeme Smith on MS Dhoni playing in SA20

“I  think MS is a great friend of South African cricket and we would welcome him with open arms if he decides to come. We ran into each other at the airports a couple of times. I think right now he is focused on doing well for [Chennai] Super Kings in the IPL”. said Smith

The league matches got in the first SA20 season recently. And the semifinalists are Pretoria Capitals, Paarl Royals, Joburg Super Kings, and Sunrisers Eastern Cape. MI Cape Town who were considered as the favorites to win the tournament did not qualify for the playoffs.
