“However contact between the clubs illustrate a willingness to discuss a fee and agree a deal if it’s there to be done. Player’s preference of destination important.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea are long-term admirer of Caicedo and they’ll hope to land him this summer. However, current reports suggests that Blues are leading the race

However, Liverpool’s pursuit looks premature but supporters will be excited to hears that Reds are back in hunt. They have good relationship with Brighton and they’ll be hopeful to get with the negotiations quickly.

Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Brighton are aware of the fact that both the club are currently chasing their starman. Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said :-

“In the morning, Liverpool made contact with Brighton, preparing an approach and a verbal bid for Moises Caicedo.

“It’s true that Liverpool contacted Brighton and they wanted to enter the race for Moises Caicedo. That’s the reality, trying to enter at the final stages of this story.

“As I told you yesterday, Chelsea feel close to signing Caicedo, but they still don’t have full agreement with Brighton. Liverpool wanted to enter, and there was a call from Bayern, who also wanted to be informed on the situation.”
