Julian Ward next speculated destination might surprise Liverpool fans

Liverpool’s Director of Football- Julian Ward is going to leave Anfield at the end of the season.

As per Guardians reports, the 41-year-old has conveyed to Liverpool about his intention to leave the club and he intends to take a substantial break from football.

But keeping that in mind, fresh news have emerged from Dutch Football which might concern Liverpool fans. As published by De Telegraaf — Ward is consider one of the favorites to become Ajax‘s new director of football.

It seems that Ward misled Liverpool fans about his future aspirations.

Ward played an important role in bringing in the likes of Luis Diaz, Fabio Carvalho, and Red’s latest signing Cody Gakpo at Anfield.

Ian Graham- Liverpool’s head of research has also left his role at Anfield as well as Jack Ade —head of elite Fitness and Development – exited for Rangers.

Worrying signs for the Reds, as Ward was only appointed last year, replacing Micheal Edwards. Something doesn’t seem right at Anfield.

POSSIBLE REPLACEMENT FOR WARD

Few names have emerged as a possible replacement for Julia Ward’s role at Anfield.

According to Sky Germany, Sven Mislintat is one of the possible candidates for next season. He worked with Klopp at Dortmund where he discovered the likes of Lewandowski, Kagawa, and Hummels for bargain fees.

AS Monaco’s Director of Football — Paul Mitchell has also been link for a new director’s role at Anfield.

However, Reds will be eager to find a proper replacement as they need a serious “shakeup” next season to forget the current season’s misery.
