Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor has picked Naby Keita as one of the worst signings in Klopp era at Anfield.

Keita arrived in England five years ago from RB Liepzig but has failed to live upto the expectations. The midfielder become Liverpool’s all time record transfer at that time, as he was bought for £52.75 million.

According to 90mins, Keita’s career at Liverpool is over and will look for possible suitors in the summer transfer window. The 28-year-old contract expires in the summer and will be available on a free transfer next season.

However, Keita has been plagued with injuries under Klopp. Since arriving back in 2018, he has missed 80 matches through injury, underlining his dependability to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

Daily Express Journalist Ryan Taylor believes that Keita’s career at Anfield has been a failure. He told GiveMeSports:-

“He has to be one of the worst signings of the Klopp era.

“I think, the expectation when he arrived, after Liverpool waited a year for him after signing him in 2017, before eventually joining in the summer of 2018 just hasn’t been matched.

He looked really good when he first got going, but he can’t seem to stay fit. He seems to be made of biscuit. Keita can’t play a single game without picking up an injury. It’s just mind-blowing.”

Despite such comments, Keita was still part of Liverpool’s most successful period in decades. He won all the major trophies such as the Premier League, the Champions League, FA Cup etc.

Keita still has the time to resurrect his career, but that is likely to happen away from Anfield.
