Liverpool

Ever the since the start of the season, the Reds have been merely a shadow of their dominant selves. The departure of their Senegalese talisman, Sadio Mane has had a visible effect on the performance of the Merseyside outfit. With the recent addition of Cody Gakpo, it is fair to say that the midfield is the one place that requires the utmost attention. As per Jacque Talbot, they have decided to address the same with a promising OGC Nice midfielder. Liverpool have reportedly held talks with Khepren Thuram over a potential transfer, in this January window.

Khephren Thuram transfer to reignite flair in the middle of the park for Liverpool?

Liverpool are currently placed sixth on the Premier league table. Even after a decent run of form in the last few games, Klopp’s men are still outside the top 4. With the injury woes of Chamberlain and Keita looming throughout the season, inconsistency has been a major problem for the Liverpool midfield. The likes of Jordan Henderson, Thiago, and Fabinho have certainly not lived up to the expectations. This has been a reason for the reds to look for reinforcements ever since the start of the season. With talks breaking down with past targets like Jude Bellingham and Moises Caicedo, Klopp is intent on signing the young Frenchman.

The shining prodigy.

Khephren Thuram has caught the eye in the ongoing Ligue 1 season. The 21-year-old has been praised for his defensive capabilities and plain-sailing ball retention. The Frenchman has made 17 Ligue 1 appearances this season in which he has accounted for 1.4 tackles per game on average. He has also recorded 2 assists and an 87.8% pass-completion ratio, which is quite commendable for a player of his age. Only time will speak as to whether this deal goes through.
