Women’s Premier League 2023 opening ceremony

The Inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League going to start on March 4. The first match is going to be between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants in the DY Patil Stadium. Mumbai Indians are led by the Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and the captain of Gujarat Giants is Beth Mooney. However, the opening ceremony will take place in the DY Patil stadium.

Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani, and AP Dhillon are going to perform in the opening ceremony of the women’s premier league. Many other celebrities taking part in this big event. The ceremony is planned to last for one and a half hours. With the biggest names from the music and film industry going to perform.

The tickets for the event sold out. However, the cost of a ticket starts from 100 and goes to 400 Rupees. The ticket for Women and girls are free as per the BCCI’s order. All the matches are going to be played in Mumbai only. Furthermore, matches might happen on home grounds like Men’s IPL in the future.

Harmanpreet Kaur in the media after appointing as the captain in the Women’s premier league said that

“This is a big opportunity for me and I’m looking to take it with both hands. Hopefully I’ll be able to deliver my hundred percent. I will give my best in every way,”.

Harman is known for her fights in the knockouts for the team. The knockoff 171 in the semis of the World cup. And in the recently concluded World cup semi-final, she scored a fifty. However, India lost the match. The Mumbai Indians side is full of world-class allrounders who can finish the match single-handle.

The toss for the opening match is 7:30 pm and the match starts by 8:00 pm. However, the live telecast stats from 5:30 itself.
