Florian Neuhaus has caught the eye of Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp and according to Fichajes, Klopp has requested Liverpool to work for the signing of the 24-year-old. The Liverpool boss wants to strengthen his midfield with the German international, while the Reds also need a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum who departed for PSG in the summer.
The German midfielder has been a key part of the Borussia Monchengladbach squad. He has made 45 appearances and scored 8 goals while assisting 8 in all competitions for his club. However, he has failed to keep his form this season as the manager prefers Denis Zakaria and Manu Kone over him.
No doubt over Neuhaus talent & potential as he awaits something greater to offer in the near future. It was predicted that he will leave for a big club and the opportunity has come for him now.
Can Klopp get the best out of Neuhaus?
The 24-year-old midfielder’s job is to break defences with his accurate key passes and create chances for his side. Despite his great quality, he was dropped from the playing 11 as Adi Hutter preferred Zakaria and Kone’s work rate and aggression of the ball. Moreover, he has made only 11 appearances and scored just 1 goal in all competitions.
Even though he has played few matches this season he has created a number of chances. Klopp is respected for his ability to get the best out of his players and thus he can help Neuhaus reach his full potential. Klopp’s pressing system will help Neuhaus with his work rate, aggression, and tackling. With an ageing Jordan Henderson and failure to replace Georginio Wijnaldum this summer, Klopp feels the need for a new midfielder.
Neuhaus will face fairly strong competition to start at Liverpool. This move can set the tone for Neuhas’s career and then he can also successfully replace Toni Kroos in the German International team. Neuhaus will also benefit from learning under experienced players like Henderson, Thiago, Milner, and others.
It is pretty evident that Liverpool will have to face competition for the signature of Florian Neuhaus. Many have drawn comparisons between him and Toni Kroos and are calling him the ‘next Kroos’. Furthermore, Real Madrid also wants to replace an ageing Toni Kroos and have shown their interest in Neuhaus. With proper guidance, he even has the potential to be on par with Toni Kroos. So, Liverpool have to be quick with the operation to secure the services of Florian Neuhaus.
