According to Marca, Real Madrid and Liverpool are the frontrunners for the signature of Ryan Gravenberch. The Dutch midfielder has been important for Ajax as he has scored 10 goals and assisted 10 in 86 appearances. Moreover, he’s only aged 19 and has good experience of playing in the top flight.

However, the Dutchman has just 18 months left in his contract and is naturally linked with a move away from Ajax. Consequently, Liverpool and Real Madrid both have great interest in signing the youngster in the summer. Although there was some interest from Manchester United.

Moreover, Ajax is prepared to accept a bid of £42 million if they fail to convince him to stay. The next year will prove to be very important for the player as he has to now show that he is ready to move to a new club. Liverpool and Real Madrid are closely monitoring the situation of Gravenberch.

The Dutchman can even become a starter for Ajax soon but may have to fight for a place at Liverpool. This decision will make him think a lot more as both parties are very strong and constantly challenge for trophies. If he succeeds more then it is probable that he will attract more interest from other clubs.

What can Ryan Gravenberch provide Real Madrid and Liverpool?

He is a physical character who stands tall at 6’2″. This helps him to win physical duels in the middle of the park. Moreover, he is very agile and has quick feet which will help him get away from defenders. In addition, he has a great eye for a line-breaking pass. This ability is combined with disguise passing which is a headache for the opposition midfield.

He is also a great ball carrier and can create space and chances out of thin air. Moreover, he also gets in a better position to receive passes and create an extra option for his teammates. He also drags a few opponents to make space for his teammates to receive passes and move forward.

Finally, he is an innovative thinker in the final third and can trouble opposition defenses time and time again. He will be a great addition to both Real Madrid and Liverpool and provide depth to their already star-studded squads. He has the potential to play at the highest level on a regular basis and needs to choose a perfect next destination.

Ryan Gravenberch has to consider whether he will get enough game time wherever he goes. He certainly has the talent but it is of no use if it is not showcased. Liverpool and Madrid have very good midfielders and he may find it hard to get into the starting lineup. However, he can provide a world-class performance on his day and bench other players.
