Liverpool could have a strong end to the transfer window

Liverpool

Liverpool started the winter transfer window by quickly completing the signing of Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven. The team still has some glaring weaknesses in the midfield which need to be addressed in the window. Liverpool would hope they could end the transfer window on a high just the way started with the signing of Gakpo.

Liverpool hopes to secure Jude Bellingham

If there is a player Liverpool has expressed their interest in openly is Jude Bellingham. Borussia Dortmund will not sell in the winter but the player and club are open to a deal in the summer. Klopp and co have a Bellingham or nothing strategy and would hope to secure Bellingham in the summer, They would jump on an opportunity to agree on a pre-agreement in January for a deal in the summer. It would be a statement signing after a bad half-season where the team has struggled for identity and lacked drive and cohesiveness.

Moises Caicedo’s Valuation dropped

Liverpool needs more than Bellingham to improve their recent slump in form. Another player who is highly appreciated is Moises Caicedo of Brighton and Hove Albion F.C. . The 21-year-old is a perfect fit for Liverpool as he is a combative and press-resistant midfielder. Caicedo was initially valued at £85m but as per reports, Brighton has dropped their asking price to £60m. Liverpool who were reluctant to initially pay exorbitant fees for him earlier might now be tempted to move for him before the closing of the winter window in a week as they have shown from time to time that they would rather wait for the perfect player than make stop-gap signings.
