Reports suggest Kylian Mbappe wants to leave PSG in January. Liverpool is in a good position to sign the striker for free in January.

The frenchman wants to buy out his contract and wants to leave for free. According to reports, the relationship between Mbappe and the French club has broken down. He just extended his contract for two more years in the summer, while Real Madrid was in the sole position to sign him.

According to the French newspaper L’Equipe, Mbappe is looking to buy out his £650,000 a week contract to become a free agent.

Liverpool are in sole position as Real Madrid back off

Real Madrid were trying really hard to sign Mbappe this summer but last moment contract renewal made it impossible. Now, as Mbappe looks out to leave, Real Madrid doesn’t want him anymore as they already have Vincious Junior in form.

Liverpool wants to go all in for Kylian Mbappe. The Reds had a stuttering start in the season. They wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity to sign a world-class player for free.

Although, Real Madrid has no intention to sign Mbappe anymore. LA Liga president Javier Tebas has talked about Real Madrid regaining their interest in the French superstar.

Tebas said:

“I can see it’s difficult for the club because it hurts what he did to Madrid in the summer,” he said. “But I don’t think fans are going to say no to adding such a player to their squad. If Mbappe comes, he will be applauded, cheered, followed.”

Liverpool are currently struggling without Sadio Mane. With Luiz Diaz and Diogo Jota injured up until next year, they are desperately looking for replacements.
