Liverpool have been struggling this season

Liverpool

Liverpool have been struggling this season in all competitions. Be it the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, or Carabao Cup, the reds have failed in all competitions this season.

Why is Liverpool struggling?

There can be many reasons why Liverpool is struggling this season.

It can be because of the injuries the players have faced in this campaign. Many of the important players were injured earlier and some are still.

Thiago, Diaz, Bajcetic, and some more were injured in the last clash against Real Madrid played on 16 March. Liverpool lost to Los Blancos 6-2 on aggregate.

Another reason can be not spending and bolstering the squad.

Klopp has never spent huge money to buy players and bolster their squad. They still have 37-year-old James Milner in their squad, soon-to-be free agent Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, etc are of no use to the club. This results in to lack of depth in the squad when the regular players are injured.

Even the players’ form is missing. Jota, Nunez, Salah, etc have not lived up to the expectations this season.

Conclusion

The Reds have to improve their squad by purchasing new players and might also need to change their style of play. They have to add players and increase squad depth in order to not face the same problem in the future.

As the transfer window is approaching, it will be quite exciting to see which players Liverpool will be able to buy.
