According to El Nacional, Eduardo Camavinga is not happy with his move to Bernabeu and Liverpool look to take advantage of this situation. Real Madrid signed the French wonder-kid from Rennes on the deadline day of the summer transfer window. He was deemed to be a great success at Real Madrid but has failed to get regular game time.

Real Madrid wanted to sign a few midfielders to replace the ageing duo of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. Camavinga was the name on everyone’s lips in the transfer window. As a result, Real Madrid signed the Frenchman for €40 million from Rennes. Camavinga even scored on his debut for Real Madrid in a great 5-2 win over Celta Vigo.

However, he cannot seem to start ahead because of the phenomenal performances from Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. Ancelotti has found a system that works and is not experimenting anymore. As a result, Camavinga is finding it hard to start for Los Blancos. It is undoubtedly very difficult to take the place of brilliant midfielders such as Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and Casemiro.

Moreover, Fede Valverde started ahead of Eduardo Camavinga when Luka Modric tested positive for COVID and did not feature against Cadiz. This has led to cause frustration for Camavinga as he expected to get more game time at Real Madrid. Moreover, he is aware that many other big clubs are interested in signing him and has changed his mind to at least get a loan out of Real Madrid.

What can Eduardo Camavinga offer Liverpool?

Liverpool have failed to replace Georginio Wijnaldum’s place in the squad. Therefore, they have turned their heads towards the unhappy French wonder kid. Camavinga’s main attribute is that he is very versatile in the middle of the pitch. He can be a number 6, number 8, and whatever other role his manager wants him to do.

Even if he plays as the defensive midfielder, he does play forward passes and makes progressive runs to create chances. Moreover, he does not stop running, as soon as he makes a pass he continues to get in better positions to receive the ball.

He completed 89% of his passes and made 3.7 tackles on average per match at Rennes in the 2020-21 season (stats via infogol). However, he offers something more than just stats. His great technical ability and brilliant versatility and his sharp awareness are the perfect combinations for a midfielder.

This has listed him as a transfer target on every big club’s transfer list. Jurgen Klopp can give him the game time which he wants and moreover Liverpool is also looking strong this season which will help Camavinga improve massively over the years.

Jurgen Klopp has established Eduardo Camavinga for bringing energy in the midfield. Liverpool could get the Frenchmen for as much as €45 million which is a bargain. He has a contract at Real Madrid till 2026 and Camavinga can offer a lot more for that price. The COVID outbreak can cause the deal to fall as Real Madrid will now want more players to replace the players who are affected. However, Carlo Ancelotti has made it clear that the doors are open for players if they want to leave the club.
