Chaos in squad after Jurgen Klopp announced his exit at the end of the season. One of the Liverpool Loanee is Nat Phillips who is currently enjoying a successful half-season loan stint with Cardiff City, having made 16 appearances after struggling for game-time when on loan with Celtic during the first half of the campaign.
Nat Phillips admits his uncertain future under new manager after finding it difficult to break in first squad.
Liverpool Loanee Nat Phillips on his future in the club
I’ve got two (years) actually at Liverpool,” he said. “There’s a lot of change going on at Liverpool so there’s a lot up in the air there. They’ve got a lot to sort out themselves.
“I had a brief conversation with the loan manager at Liverpool (about pre-season). There’s so much going on at the club. Football is a game of a lot of uncertainty generally anyway.
“You tend to find you make one plan and something else comes along. I’ve learnt throughout my career to just sit back and let things unfold because it doesn’t really matter how much you try and worry about it or influence it, a lot of things are out of your control.
“It’s difficult to say (where I’ll be) because I don’t know who the manager is going to be next year and that sort of thing. Once things start to unfold, I’ll be able to build a bit more of a picture of what I see my plan for the future is.”
Next season will be a shake up in the Liverpool squad post Klopp era and it will be a new scenery to behold. Arne Slot who is given a wonderful core squad is expected to do big things at the club. Anfield will be delightful with his welcome as well as players.
