Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp shares what Allison Becker told him about his injury after the game. Klopp admits that he spoke to Allison about the injury he picked against Manchester City. It was a difficult fixture for the Brazilian as he made some very unusual errors. Moreover, his day was no more of an easy one as he was feeling some clutch in his hamstring just before the final whistle. Speaking to liverpoolfc.com, Klopp shared the update about the injury to the big man. He said,
“The shadow on this game is obviously that Ali felt something and Diogo [Jota] felt something – something we have to assess and then we will see.”
I hope it’s not that serious, but I don’t have the answer – no clue in the moment what it is. I spoke to him and he said he only felt [it] a little bit, but we have to wait for the scan.”
Although, he was able to continue for the minutes left in the game after feeling the stretch. Liverpool fans and management will hope that it is not a serious one as they cannot lose their saviour. The Reds will be facing a midweek clash in Europa League against LASK. This will be an opportunity for him to take proper rest to wipe out the chances of any long-term damage. Despite a rare shaky performance, the Brazilian made some good saves as well. The first one was a full stretch against a shot from Foden in the first half while second was a point black stop of Haaland. The save consequently led the build-up of Liverpool’s equaliser. Another injury concern was to Diogo Jota who has been in top form in the past few weeks. If he misses few games, it will be a massive blow for the Reds.
