Here we have with us the Liverpool player ratings as they beat Leeds United 6-0 at home. The Reds completely dominated the Whites. Leeds had no answers to Liverpool questions whatsoever. Liverpool entered this match with a 3-1 win against Norwich. On the other hand, Leeds entered this match with a 2-4 defeat at home against Manchester United.

Liverpool opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Mohamed Salah scored a penalty while sending the keeper the wrong way. They doubled their lead in the 30th minute as Joel Matip scored from open play in the 30th minute. A good linkup play between Matip and Salah helped the center-back to score from inside the box.

Mohamed Salah scored another penalty in the 35th minute. Meslier guessed it right as Salah went the same way as before but the penalty had good power and lift to get it past the keeper. Meslier gave the ball away to Jordan Henderson who was quick to give the ball to Salah and make a run inside the box to assist Sadio Mane for his first goal of the game.

Liverpool were successful to find Origi’s run who tried to take on the shot as Meslier came out. However, the ball rebounded and landed on the feet of Sadio Mane for his second goal of the night. The Reds had their last blow to the game with a patent Robertson corner towards Virgil van Dijk’s head to score the sixth goal of the game.

Liverpool player ratings vs Leeds United

Alisson – 7/10

Was close to conceding a goal early in the game but was lucky at the moment. From there on, he was barely troubled and enjoyed the game.

Trent Alexander-Arnold – 7/10

Was rested against Norwich and used this match to find his groove back. However, he failed to get a goal contribution.

Joel Matip – 8/10

Joel Matip scored from inside the box from open play explains how free he was in the game. Another clean sheet for him.

Virgil van Dijk – 9/10

Van Dijk did not have to mark a specific player as he was up against Dan James’ pace. However, he did well to mark his runs and pounced on Leeds’ poor set-piece record.

Andy Robertson – 7/10

Got himself an assist with his corner for Van Dijk in the dying minutes of the game. Overall, a good return from rest and his cross led to the first penalty that Salah converted.

Fabinho – 7/10

Took some time to settle in the game as he did not look comfortable on the ball. However, as Liverpool kept scoring goals he got more comfortable in the game.

Thiago – 8/10

Made some good passes and had a great vision to spot the runs. Also had his share of his trademark tackles and came off with a 93% pass success rate.

Curtis Jones – 7/10

Jones started the game after not being included in the previous threes matchday squads. He was not as clean but had some of his moments as he could have gotten himself a shot rather trying to get an assist.

Mohamed Salah – 9/10

He was involved in four of the goals that Liverpool scored. Salah scored two penalties from the spot and also assisted Matip in the first half. He also found Henderson in free space who assisted Mane for the fourth.

Luis Diaz – 8/10

He does not look like he has recently started playing for Liverpool. He looks like he is already familiar with the players and the system at Anfield. Was very energetic and pacey.

Sadio Mane – 9/10

Found the back of the net twice in the closing minutes of the game. He was in the right place at the right time to score his goals and did well to draw defenders while playing from the center.
