Here we have with us the Liverpool Player Ratings in their scintillating win against Southampton. The Reds took down Southampton 4-0 at Anfield during their Premier League clash on last Saturday.

A brutally dominating performance took Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to 2nd in the table, 1 point above Manchester City and 1 point behind Chelsea. However, both the teams have a game in hand and could change the standings.

The game had Liverpool open the scoring early in the game. A sweet ball from Andrew Robertson was closely tapped in by Diogo Jota. Later, a beautiful play by Jordan Henderson allowed Mohamed Salah to cross the ball in for Jota, who tucked in to score his brace.

A few minutes before half time, a poor clearance by the Saints allowed Thiago Alcantara to dribble the ball cheekily and put it in the net to make it 3-0 for Liverpool. The last goal of the match came via Virgil van Dijk. A corner delivered by Trent Alexander-Arnold was rocketed in by the unmarked Dutchman. The team’s Centre-back bagged his first goal of the season to conclude the game 4-0.
