Bayern Munich are said to be closing on Sadio Mane. Therefore, Liverpool are frantically searching for a forward who could fill in for Mane. It seems that Jurgen Klopp has found the Senegalese forward’s replacement in Martin Terrier of Rennes.

Sadio Mane before the Champions League final had said to the media that he would decide his future at Anfield after the final. Therefore, it was thought that he would stay with the Reds if they can win the Champions League.

However, after their disappointing loss to Real Madrid, Mane’s intentions now seems clear. Moreover, a threat looms over Mohamed Salah’s exit as well. However, it seems that Mane will be the first one to leave the Merseyside club. Liverpool, on the other hand, would not allow him to leave before they find a replacement for him.

It seems now that Klopp has found his man to replace Mane. Terrier had an impressive season for Rennes this season. It is thought, therefore, that he could prove to be a similar threat.

Can Terrier turn out to be the perfect replacement for Sadio Mane at Liverpool?

Liverpool does not want to leave Mane and wanted to negotiate a long-term deal with him. However, it seems that Mane could meet his wage demands elsewhere. Terrier scored 21 goals for his club Rennier this season. Mane was hugely popular at the club as he was versatile and was a great goal threat.

Terrier could also play out wide or in the central role. He is also a great physical threat in the box. As his height measure 6’2 and he could turn out to be a great header of the ball. As, although, Liverpool have world-class forwards, none of them have the physical features as Terrier.

Liverpool are said to be demanding  £40million for Mane who has one year left on his contract. On the other hand, Terrier has still three years left on his contract. However, he would not be too difficult to acquire.
