Liverpool to bid for Christian Eriksen?

Liverpool have shown interest in Brentford midfielder Christian Eriksen. Liverpool are looking to strengthen their midfield in the Summer as they have an aging midfield. Eriksen is one of the targets for Liverpool this Summer.

Eriksen has made a fairy tale comeback ever since he started playing for Brentford. It all started with Eriksen winning the Scudetto with Inter Milan and playing in Euros with Switzerland hoping for the title. During the game against Finland, Eriksen collapsed on the field due to cardiac arrest. The doctors saved Eriksen however confirmed that he won’t be able to play football anymore. However, Eriksen made a comeback into the Premier League by signing for Brentford. In his 6 appearances for Brentford, he has had 3 goal involvements. Moreover, Brentford have a 100% record in games where Eriksen has played for the whole 90 minutes.

Eriksen’s contract with Brentford lasts until the end of the season. Priced at 13.5m, Brentford would be hoping to extend his contract. However, they face stiff competition from the likes of Ajax, Liverpool, and Tottenham, With Tottenham being the frontrunners.

Eriksen could eye a comeback to Tottenham as Antonio Conte and Eriksen have worked together in Inter Milan. Conte is looking to persuade the midfielder to join Tottenham and Eriksen is more than likely to oblige.

What Liverpool could do for Eriksen

However, Liverpool are an interesting prospect for Eriksen for a couple of reasons. Liverpool have a great squad, so Eriksen will get the rest he needs at Liverpool. He will be an important player however won’t play every game. Moreover, there is less pressure at Liverpool as the manager is Jurgen Klopp. And also the fact that the squad have great chemistry with each other. Eriksen would fit in very quickly.
