Liverpool to deploy third & final bid for Romeo Lavia this summer

According to recent reports, Journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims that Liverpool are now ready to deploy the third & final for Romeo Lavia this summer.

After Jordan Henderson and Fabinho’s departure this summer, Liverpool are in a need of new defensive midfielder, who ticks all boxes of their requirements.

Southampton man Romeo Lavia has emerged as arguebly the most suitable candidate for vacant void left at the Anfield. However, Saints have already rejected both the bids as it didn’t match their demand of £50 million.

World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister and Former Leipzig midfield maestro Dominik Szoboszlai already joined the Mersyside club this summer. Lavia looks like the last-part of “jigsaw puzzle” Jurgen Klopp is still finding in this transfer market.

The Belgian midfielder has emerged as the Red’s main target since the end of last season. Joining of Manchester City last summer, Lavia enjoyed an terrific season with Southampton.

The 19-year-old made 26 apperances across all competitions for Saints last season. Despite Southampton getting relegated last term, Lavia won applause from around the club.

Former boss Pep Guardiola is really impressed with Lavia’s performance last term and said :-

“I am really impressed with what Romeo has done and is doing.

“We had, and we have, an incredible opinion about him. We thought to keep him, but maybe he would not (get) enough minutes like he has in Southampton.

Journalist expects Liverpool to table the penultimate bid for Lavia in the coming weeks

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri expects Liverpool to launch the third & final bid for Romeo Lavia in the coming weeks. He said :-

“Liverpool FC ready to make a third & ultimate offer for Romeo Lavia. I understand the bid will meet the £40m transfer fee expectations by Saints FC + add-ons. Player’s side just waiting for LFC to activate but informed the club his desire to join the Reds.

“There’s a feeling that Klopp’s team are the only squad able to do such offer at that moment. Dialogue remains opens as Southampton FC won’t let leave his biggest sale of the year with the financial impact of a relegation. Deal still ON.”

Lavia would be the perfect cover for departed Fabinho this summer. The Southampton man’s box-to-box and man marking capabilities could invaluable addition to Liverpool’s roster.
