Tony Cascarino have told the news outlets that Liverpool needs to sign Declan Rice over Jude Bellingham. He has urged Liverpool to prioritize signing Declan Rice over Jude Bellingham this summer. Bellingham has been the Liverpool manager’s target for quite some time now. Furthermore, Fabrizio Romano have claimed that the player still remains as a name on their wishlist. The youngster is considered one of the raw talents in the world. The Borussia Dortmund star even had an amazing World Cup where he showed his ability to perform on a big stage. Therefore it is understandable for the Liverpool side to try and sign the young talent. Liverpool could also sign Declan Rice as an alternative for Bellingham. West Ham United is expected to sell the player by the end of the season.
Liverpool could prioritize signing Declan Rice over Jude Bellingham
Reports claim that West Ham would willing to sell the player by the end of the season. They would hope to sell the player for about £80 million. Journalist Ben Jacobs have told news outlets, that Liverpool cannot be ruled out of the race for Rice. However, Cascarino claims that Liverpool should make Rice their priority signing for the summer. Cascarino told,
“If the option is between Jude Bellingham and Rice, Liverpool should go for the latter. Bellingham is an excellent player but Rice solves the problems Liverpool are having and would provide a platform enabling those around him to shine,”
He further added,
“Fabinho and Jordan Henderson have looked off the pace, with their ability to turn the ball over, make tackles and interceptions having fallen away. As a result, Liverpool’s midfield has been easy to run through but Rice is not a player who lets opponents pass him often.”
Fans are a bit surprised that Cascarino put Declan Rice over Jude Bellingham. There is no doubt that Rice is a magnificent player but Jude Bellingham have got it all. He can seemingly play in all midfield positions. Moreover, he is younger than Declan Rice therefore he still has a lot of room for improvement. Nevertheless, both Rice and Bellingham would be excellent addition to the Liverpool team.
