Alex Oxlade Chamberlain has had struggles at Liverpool since his Injury

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain has struggled for game time at Liverpool since his return from his injury owing to his bad form and recurrences of various injuries which have hampered his progress. He has only made 69 league appearances since that horrific injury for Liverpool. He is certainly down the pecking order at the club. His contract is due to expire at the end of this season, his future certainly lies away from Liverpool.

Brighton have expressed an interest

With Ox’s contract expiring in the summer and Liverpool in search of players to bolster their midfield, Brighton has expressed interest to sign him this window. But Liverpool will not let any of their midfielders leave in the January transfer window. Klopp wants all his current players to be fully focused on the season which has been a disappointment to date. According to Fabrizio Romano

” I don’t think Liverpool will let any midfielder leave in January… let’s see what happens in the summer,”

Ox will have to stay put as of now and would have to move for pastures new come the summer to rejuvenate his career and would hope to be a regular starter away from Liverpool.
