Lucknow Super Giants reveals their jersey for IPL 2023

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a big cricket tournament. The 16th edition of IPL is happening soon. One of the teams playing in the tournament is Lucknow Super Giants. They just showed off their new team jersey for the upcoming season.

At the unveiling ceremony, the team hosted a fashion show. They wanted to make it a big deal, so some of the players from the team also walked on the ramp. Some of the players present were Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Jaydev Undakat, Deepak Hooda, and KL Rahul, who is the team’s captain.

Other important people were also present at the event. These people included the Secretary of the BCCI, Jay Shah, the owner of Lucknow Super Giants, Sanjeev Goenka, and the team mentor Gautam Gambhir. They all watched as the team showed off their new jersey. The new jersey is a dark blue color with red stripes on the sides. The team is hoping that this new jersey will bring them luck as they get ready to play in the tournament.

The world’s biggest T20 league, the Indian Premier League (IPL), is set to begin on March 31. In the opening match, Lucknow Super Giants will face off against Delhi Capitals. Both teams will be playing their first game of the tournament. Additionally, the 2023 IPL will feature the return of the home and away format for the teams.

Lucknow Super Giants mentor Gambhir speaks

Home advantage and the support of the crowd could play a significant role in the teams’ success. Gautam Gambhir, the mentor of the Lucknow Super Giants, discussed the importance of these factors for the team.

According to Gambhir, consistency will be crucial for the team throughout the tournament. Additionally, he emphasized the need for adaptability to different conditions. Gambhir pointed out that the playing conditions would vary from place to place, be it in Jaipur or Chennai. Therefore, adapting to these conditions could be an essential factor for the team’s success.
The RPSG Group, which is owned by Sanjiv Goenka, won the bidding rights to purchase the Lucknow-based franchise. They spent a significant amount of 7,090 crores to acquire the franchise.

During the mega auction, the RPSG Group made some significant purchases, including key players like KL Rahul and Marcus Stoinis. They spent INR 17 crores and INR 9.2 crores, respectively, on these players.
