Jose Enrique has posted on Instagram he is hoping the World Cup Winner Alexis Mac Allister ” will join Liverpool in the summer”.

Liverpool supporters are still trying to recover from that they decided to opt out of the race for Jude Bellingham. Many fans had 19-year-old in top of their summer transfer list.

Now Reds are showing interest in Brighton midfielder Mac Allister. The 24-year-old is having an outstanding season as he won the worldcup with Argentina last year at Qatar. But Robert De Zerbi’s side are pushing for top-four finish in this term.

However, Enrique now wants Mac Allister at his oformer club Liverpool, as he posted in the comment section of Football Daily UK’s Instagram post. They earlier reported that the Argentine will leave the Seagulls, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are showing interest.

Enrique wrote in the comment section:-

“Hopefully, he’s coming to LFC,”

Mac Allister is Brighton’s leading goal-scorer this season with eight goals. The Argentine pricetag is around £75m and Seagulls are not willing to negotiate.

Brighton’s chief executive Paul Barber warned last month that no player will be allowed to leave for a cut-price fee. He said:-

“We’re very fortunate from a financial point of view that we’re not a club that has to sell players to survive.”

Mac Allister’s father, Carlos recently claimed :-

“Normally the next [transfer window] will find him playing in another club, we don’t know which one. The talks are just beginning in general, but it is most likely that Alexis will already be playing in another team next July.”

Fabrizio Romano has also reported that Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea have made an approach to the representatives of Mac Allister.
