Here we have with us the Manchester City player ratings as they were held on to a 0-0 draw by Crystal Palace. Manchester City are now just 4 points ahead of Liverpool while they have also played one more game than the Reds. Whereas Crystal Palace are 11th on the Premier League table after snatching away one point from the Citizens.

Manchester City took a total of 19 shots out of which 4 were on target. They hit the woodwork as much as two times but failed to score even one goal against the Eagles. On the other hand, Palace attempted just 7 shots, only one of them being on the target. As expected, Palace could do nothing to trouble the City defense but found themselves lucky to get away with a draw.

Joao Cancelo hit the post from a long-range and Rodri was present to put the ball in but failed, skied it over the crossbar. Moreover, in the second half, Kevin de Bruyne also hit the post from his attempt to score in the bottom far corner. Mahrez had the chance to pounce on the rolling ball but his shot was well saved by Guaita.

Bernardo Silva came close to scoring but his toe-poke was just wide of the far corner. The game could have been finished in the first half itself. However, the title race is now wide open and City will have to gain those points again after a setback.

Manchester City player ratings vs Crystal Palace

Ederson – 6/10

Was barely troubled and could have completed the best pass in that match to Riyad Mahrez.

Kyle Walker – 6/10

Made a silly error in the first half but got himself back and did not give a chance to Zaha.

John Stones – 7/10

He may not have been on the team sheet if Ruben Dias was fit but turned out to be the best defender.

Aymeric Laporte – 6/10

Replicated his error at Etihad against Zaha but collected himself in the second half of the game.

Joao Cancelo – 4/10

Hit the post with an outrageous effort from outside the box. However, his passing was not at all accurate similar to last week.

Rodri – 4/10

Did well to hold the midfield but needed to do something extra to change the scoreline. He could have been more creative and could have increased the tempo a bit.

Bernardo Silva – 4/10

Had a few good chances to score and break the deadlock but fluffed all of them. Could have bagged three points for City.

Kevin de Bruyne – 7/10

Struck the post and was the only player who was trying to make things happen with his creative ideas.

Riyad Mahrez – 5/10

Very poor finishing from him and might have scored those chances on any other day.

Phil Foden – 5/10

Failed to get involved in the game but looked energetic whenever he was involved in a play.

Jack Grealish – 5/10

Was poor in the first half but created chances for De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva who failed to score them. Could have gotten two assists for himself.
