Manchester City players confident of Kane inclusion

Manchester City players are positive that Harry Kane will end up at the Etihad this season.

The England captain remains firmly on the Guardiola’s radar. Nonetheless, Tottenham Hotspur are resolute in not parting ways with their ace.

There are claims that City’s opening bid of £100,000,000 was only guaranteeing three quarters of the quoted fee. This amounted to less than half of what Daniel Levy is exacting for his star striker.

However, with only a week left to run for Kane to decide his destination, the Citizens will return with an improved offer to test Levy’s resolve.

Levy – The wall between Man City and Kane

The Spurs chairman has tagged a £150,000,000 asking price for the Englishman. Kane, meanwhile, is desperate to leave in search of his first major trophy.

Manchester City players were ‘confident‘ that Kane would don a blue jersey in the coming week. They noticed signs indicating that a plan was in place to make a late swoop for the veteran.

Predictably, Levy has so far proved to be a difficult man to reach terms with. The Spurs co-owner is adamant to keep Kane at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Guardiola’s men have failed to get even close to the quoted figure and have also struggled to contact Levy.

Levy’s delaying tactics helped Tottenham rake in huge sums for the sales of Gareth Bale, Dimitar Berbatov and Luka Modric over the years. Kane’s possible exit has followed a similar pattern.

Kane made his first appearance of the new season off the bench against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend and remains contracted to Tottenham until 2024. He has returned to full training with Spurs.
