Manchester City will be stronger than ever

Manchester City let go of their previous first team mainstays Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus this summer. But their additions coming into the next season will make their team stronger than ever.

Man City will start with a new forward line after they bought Erling Braut Haaland and Julian Alvarez. Their primary starting lineup had already taken shape before they will start the pre-season. With two new strikers, they made amends to replace their legend, Sergio Aguero.

Also, the signing of Kalvin Phillips from Leeds United came after Fernandinho decided to leave the club. The English international will be the perfect replacement for the Brazilian offering the same role. Man City made another signing, a German goalkeeper, Stefan Ortega from 2.Bundesliga club Arminia Bielefeld.

Transfer business of Manchester City so far

Talking about the departures, Manchester City let two of their superstars go to their domestic rivals this summer. Arsenal secured the signing of the Brazilian No.9 Gabriel Jesus and covered their striking issues. On the other hand, their London rivals, Chelsea agreed on a transfer fee and personal terms for Raheem Sterling. This is quite unusual as departures from Man City are quite rare. For the first time, maybe in 3 or 4 years, we are looking at an overhaul in the Etihad Stadium.

Some may tend to think that the departure of Jesus and Sterling could hamper their attacking depth. This is because both of them were quite versatile. Jesus could play as a striker as well as a wide attacker from the right whereas Sterling could take up either side of the wing areas. This is why Pep Guardiola might still add another wide forward or a versatile forward to their attacking line.

The depth they have in every part of the pitch is amazing and again, for another season are the favourites to lift more trophies under Guardiola, preferably the UCL.
