Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Casemiro from Real Madrid. The midfielder will join the Premier League on a four-year contract.

Casemiro will now hope to play in the next game versus Southampton. The midfielder was also present in the stands during the Liverpool match.

The Brazil international was presented to the Old Trafford crowd on Monday evening. This happened before the match against Liverpool. Manchester United were unable to register him due to visa issues. However, this did not stop him from attending the match from the stands. The Red Devils won the match 2-1 against Liverpool. The win was the first win of the season after defeats to Brighton and Brentford.

Casemiro gave a farewell press conference to Real Madrid on Monday before making the trip to Old Trafford. The conference was an emotional one as the midfielder leave Los Blancos after 9 years. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and manager Carlo Ancellotti were also emotional during his farewell speech. The midfielder’s name was inducted into the club’s hall of fame on the website.

Manchester United confirmed Casemiro’s arrival yesterday. He has signed a contract until 2026 with the option of further 12 months. The midfielder will bring experience and stability to United’s midfield. Casemiro is also happy to join the club. He said in his farewell press conference that he is leaving one big club to join another big club in the form of Manchester United.

The midfielder made 336 appearances for Real Madrid. He scored 31 goals and provided 29 assists in the process. He will join Manchester United on the reputation of winning trophies. Casemiro has won three league titles, one Copa del Rey, and five Champions League titles at Bernabeu.
