Manchester United offer Paul Pogba £400k-a-week offer

Manchester United are set to offer Paul Pogba a £400k-a-week offer to tie him down at Old Trafford. According to The Athletic United are offering Paul Pogba an enormous contract to ward off interest from PSG. This offer would make Pogba the highest-paid player. The deal would make Pogba earn more than David de Gea who earns £375,000 weekly.

Paul Pogba has only a year left on his contract and PSG are keen to sign the player for free next summer. Moreover, PSG is not the only club keen on signing the Frenchman Real Madrid also want to sign him. Meanwhile, the new deal offered by Manchester united will keep Paul Pogba at Old Trafford until 2025 with the club having the option to extend it by another year.

The Red Devils have accelerated their attempts to extend his contract. Moreover, they fear that they might lose him for free a second time.

Manchester United still has trust on Paul Pogba

The 28-year-old was outstanding in United’s 5-1 opening-day win over Leeds. Pogba started the game on the left wing in the absence of Marcus Rashford. Paul Pogba assisted four goals making him the first United player to achieve this feat. Pogba also played in the pre-season game against Everton and has been training with the squad. Meanwhile, Solskjaer is focussing on keeping Pogba happy on a day-to-day basis.

Jesse Lingard is likely to stay at Old Trafford despite having interest from West Ham. Lingard’s most important concern was game time but Solskjaer reassured him that he has a big part to play. Moreover, James Garner will be going out on a loan spell again. Andreas Pereira has decided to go to Flamengo on a loan deal with an option to buy. Andreas believes that playing in Brazil might increase his chances of playing at the World Cup. Brandon Williams is in talks with Norwich City over a loan deal.
