MEMPHIS DEPAY AND MANCHESTER UNITED TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY

According to reports, Manchester United are keeping an eye on his situation at Barcelona. But, no bids have been made for the forward. The report also claims that Barcelona have told the media team to remove the promotional images of Depay. It also adds that the club are quite confident that they will offload the forward this summer.

The report also adds that new signing Robert Lewandoski is interested in moving into Depay’s current house. This will only happen if the Dutchman leaves the Catalan club. Depay also has only 12 months remaining on his contract. However, the forward is reportedly happy to remain at Barca this summer. Although, the forward will only leave the club if an important club offers for him.

WHY ARE BARCELONA READY TO SELL THE DUTCH FORWARD?

After three and a half years with Lyon, Memphis Depay moved to Barca on a free transfer last summer. He was a first-team regular in the first half of the season. However, the sacking of Koeman and new signings made by Xavi, and a number of injuries saw his game time reduced. Although, his season was not that bad. However, Depay’s long-term future came into question this summer. The Catalan giants have reportedly placed him on the transfer list this summer.

The arrival of Robert Lewandoski has also pushed him down the pecking order. Barca manager Xavi is also happy to let him leave this summer. However, Manchester United are not the only team interested in him. According to one report, Tottenham have reportedly made a bid for the forward. However, he won’t start every game due to the status of Harry Kane. United also have a number of other players on the list.

The forward scored 13 goals and provide two assists across all competition last summer. This included 12 goals in 27 appearances in La Liga. There is another report that claims another two Premier League sides in the top 10 last season have made bids below £20m for the forward.
