According to reports, Marseille are still in the race to sign the defender. The report also states that the French club is monitoring the situation. The defender has only two years left on his current Arsenal contract. William Saliba has also refused to commit future to the club as he wants to first play regular games for the club. The report also claims that Marseille president Pablo Longoria traveled to London for talks with the player’s agent.
The reason for this rumor going on his Mikel Arteta is still looking to sign another center-back. The new signing will reduce William Saliba’s game time at the club. However, the center-back is not the priority signing. The report also states that Arsenal are not happy with the rumors. Sources inside the club indicate Mikel Arteta is happy with the development of William Saliba.
