Liverpool defender Nat Phillips is on the verge of joining Leeds United this summer, according to journalist Rudd Galetti’s report.

AC Milan & Calciomercato expert shared more details about the deal in his Twitter/X account. As per reports, Leeds manager Daniel Farke is willing to sign a new centre-back before the season unfolds.

The Whites saw large number of their players leave the club, with only three new signings this summer. However, same goes for Liverpool as most of transfer business in this window has been outgoings.

For Reds, majority of their midfielders also left the club and manager Jurgen Klopp plans to rebuild their game at the middle of the pitch this season. Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai has been the two new additions in the Liverpool roster this summer.

Nat Phillips could be next name in Liverpool’s outgoing list as Leeds United are now ready to lure him away from the Mersyside club. Elland Road will be the perfect destination for the 26-year-old centre-back to rebuild his career in Premier League.

And now Rudd Galetti claims both the clubs have advanced the talks :-

“Advanced talks between #LeedsUTD and #Liverpool for Nat #Phillips.

“The parties are discussing some details about the proposal set at ~£10m add-ons included.

“The English CB has been targeted by Leeds as one of the ideal profiles to replace #Wober, now on loan at #Gladbach.”

Leeds United keen on bringing Nat Phillips to stay in top-flight

After Maximilian Wobër departure from the club last January, Leeds are in a urgent need of a new centre-back to stay in English top-flight football.

Phillips can be a interesting prospect of Whites as he partnered Rhys Williams in latter part of the 2020/21 season. They’re heroics left the supporters stunned and even gaffer Jurgen Klopp praised them for stepping up in the time of need .

However, lack of game time cam be fatal for these youngsters. Hence Phillips will look to move away from the Anfield this summer.
