Neco Williams does not turn up to training amid rumors of his Liverpool exit.

Liverpool

Neco Williams has not reported for pre-season training at Liverpool. This news comes amid rumors that he has agreed a deal to move to a new Premier League side.

The right-back is reportedly not in Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the future. The club is open to offers for the player. However, the club wants to sell him permanently this summer transfer window.

NECO WILLIAMS REPORTEDLY CLOSE TO LIVERPOOL EXIT

Williams spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham. He helped the Cottagers win the Championship title. As a result, they were promoted back to the Premier League. However, despite his brilliant performances, he seems to have not impressed Jurgen Klopp. The club have signed another right-back to put him more down the pecking order.

Liverpool have signed young Scottish right-back Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen. The Scottsman is expected to fill the role of providing cover and competition for first-choice Trent Alexander Arnold. This has all but sealed Neco Williams career for Liverpool. Neco Williams is now surplus to requirements at Liverpool. He is ready to leave the club this summer transfer window.

MANY PREMIER LEAGUE CLUBS ARE INTERESTED IN THE WELSH RIGHT-BACK

The rumors of exit has sparked plenty of interest from Premier League clubs. Fulham are very keen to retain his services on a permanent basis. However, newly promoted Nottingham Forest are the favorites for his signature. According to reports, he has even agreed a long-term contract in principle. Adding more fuel to the reports, he did not turn up for pre-season training on Monday.

Liverpool have completed their incoming business early in the window. Jurgen Klopp has now turned his attention to outgoings. The likes of Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino, and Divock Origi have already been offloaded by the club. Neco Williams is likely to join the list of outgoings at Liverpool. The club supposedly have slapped a £15 million price tag on him.

Forest have already agreed personal terms with the player. But they are reluctant to meet the asking price. However, negotiations are still going on. Although, the transfer is expected to drag until the latter stages of the window.
