West Ham United will be one of the clubs who will go through a transition period this season. After West Ham announced the sacking of David Moyes the future of the club was uncertain. The London club announced Julen Lopetegui as the replacement for David Moyes.

When it comes to experience Lopetegui is no amateur managing big clubs like Real Madrid. He also has experience when it comes to English football after he miraculously saved Wolves from getting relegated last season. Now that he has arrived at West Ham United he has showed his intention to spend big and one of his targets can be Next Bellingham.

Julen Lopetegui left Wolves after a clash with the management. After saving the club from relegation the Former Real Madrid manager wanted some big signings for the squad. The club also had to sell some of its core players like Ruben Neves, Conor Coady, Adama Traore, Joao Moutinho. This was also followed by cost ineffective signings by the club. Lopetegui will now try his best to get suitable signings for the squad. He is already targeting Brazilian centre-back Bruno and Portuguese winger Jota apparently well advanced. Lopetegui believes Wolves have a solid plan for the summer transfer window and will try their best in respect to financial condition of the club.

Lopetegui wants Next Bellingham from Birmingham City

After Bruno and Jota Silva, it seems like Lopetegui could be signing up a truly elite young player as his next signing for the Hammers. It is important form Lopetegui to sign some young players after David Moyes left the squad with old players to compete. The squad was also lacking in many areas for the new manager to work on.

Now it is clear that West Ham United want to sign some young players for the squad to shine. West Ham United are battling Atalanta and Leicester City for the signing of Birmingham City starlet, Jordan James. Moreover it is Birmingham could demand around £10 million for James. This is a bargain price for the youngster after seeing the potential. Wales manager Rob Page recently suggested the the 19-year-old midfielder could emulate Real Madrid and England superstar Jude Bellingham.

Jude Bellingham is making waves all over the world. The young Englishman is also having shouts to win the balon d’or. While he will be playing in his first Champions League final we can say he was quite a good deal. Rob Page said “He reads the game well, he’s athletic, he likes a tackle, he can pass the ball, he can head it … he ticks a lot of boxes; he has got everything. He is a great lad and he wants to work hard. He has got potential and we’re going to help him achieve that.” These words clearly show how the youngster already has eyes on him. In 42 Championship games for Birmingham last season, the talented youngster bagged an impressive eight goals. He is also known for his versatality in the midfield.

West Ham United need to make big signings in defense

West Ham and Julen Lopetegui are planning to make some good signings this summer. However the area that needs the most improvement is defense. West Ham United conceded a whopping 74 goals last season, the most they’ve ever conceded in their Premier League history. West Ham will need to sign some centre backs for the season after their current duo looks old and slow. Currently West Ham United have plenty of targets in their mind. However judging by their budget and new premier league sustainability rules they will have to make budget friendly signings.
