French Giants Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Norwegian Striker Erling Haaland this summer.
Haaland arrived from Borussia Dortmund in July 2022, signing a five-year deal with Guardiola’s side in England. Since joining City, the Norwegian has been terrific in front of goal, scoring 33 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions.
Haaland has scored 27 goals in 25 premier league appearances and the latest one coming in against Crystal Palace on Sunday. He scored a spot-kick in the 78th minute to guide his team to victory, which narrowed their gap at the top of the table to two points.
Although, Haaland is currently Premier League’s top scorer for this season. But there have been claims that Man City are not efficient as a unit with the 22-year-old in their squad. Speculation over his future are still a hot topic in the transfer market.
According to Sport, PSG are targeting Erling Haaland in the summer to strengthen their squad. After their Champions League exit this season, PSG will have a lot of activity at the Parc des Princes next season.
Although there have been discussions around the future of all three attackers in the team. But reports claim that PSG wants to pair Haaland with Kylian Mbappe next season.
However, the move for Haaland will mean that future of Lionel Messi and Neymar will be in doubt as the Argentine’s contract expires in the summer. Manchester City might not sanction the sale. PSG may activate the release clause which is worth around £200 million.
Real Madrid are also having intrest in Haaland who were seeking to sign him last summer before City made the deal permanent. Los Blancos are looking for long-term replacement for Karim Benzema, who have struggled with injuries this season.
