Paytm is replaced by MasterCard as sponsor for Indian cricket
The Board of Cricket Control in India(BCCI) announced that Paytm is replaced by MasterCard as a sponsor for cricket in India. This includes both for men and women. It only applies to home matches. It was sad news as Mastercard replaced Paytm as the sponsor.
Also, it will be applicable to domestic tournaments such as Irani Trophy, Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy.
The President of the Board of Cricket Control of India Sourav Ganguly announced it. He said that the BCCI is looking forward to collaborating with MasterCard as Paytm is replaced by MasterCard.
BCCI president Jay Shah told that BCCI is pleased to collaborate with MasterCard. He also termed the phase as exciting. There are many upcoming tournaments such as Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the ICC T20 cricket World Cup and the series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

Paytm won the bid for hosting the matches for Rs 326.8 crore. The payment of 2.4 crores had to be done per match by Paytm.

They will lift the pride of 1.3 billion Indians living in this country. The sponsorship for Mastercard will initially start with three T20s which India are scheduled to play with Australia. India will play T20s against New Zealand and South Africa. MasterCard will sponsor these matches too.
