Pep Guardiola breaks Jurgen Klopp’s fastest goalscoring record

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City broke the record for reaching 500 goals fastest in the Premier League. City thrashed Leeds United 7-0 for their worst Premier League defeat until now. While Manchester City are leading the Premier League table by 4 points now. Moreover, Pep Guardiola is also the fastest manager to reach 500 goals in the Premier League in 207 matches.

This record was previously held by Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool side. The Reds scored 500 goals in just 234 matches under the German manager. Moreover, City also scored their 800th and 801st goals under Guardiola in all competitions. Manchester City have previously broken a lot of records and these are just 2 of them.

Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Kevin de Bruyne, Riyad Marez, John Stones, and Nathan Ake all found the back of the net against Leeds. City were in complete control at halftime by leading 3-0 at the break. Furthermore, Leeds only had 3 shots on target in turn of City’s 16 shots on target.

The first goal by Foden in the eighth minute broke the record for reaching the fastest 500 goals in just 207 matches. Whereas John Stones and Nathan Ake scored the last two goals which were also the 800th and 801st goals of City under Guardiola in all competitions.
