Pep Guardiola revels his future managerial plans, “There’s nothing else to win,” in an emotional Manchester City statement

After promising to “close the chapter” with Manchester City following the team’s FIFA Club World Cup victory. Pep Guardiola has disclosed his future plans.

The 52-year-old managed Manchester City in Jeddah for 16 years, and on Friday night, the Sky Blues won the FIFA Club World Cup, their fifth trophy of 2023.

Manchester City defeated Fluminense 4-0 to win the Club World Cup. Under Pep Guardiola, his team has now won every major trophy during the Catalans’ eight-year tenure at the Etihad Stadium.

Prior to their triumph in Saudi Arabia, Manchester City had already won the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Emirates FA Cup, and UEFA Super Cup. In 2025, they will also participate in an expanded 32-team Club World Cup.

Guardiola, who is under contract with Manchester City through May 2025. Is currently expected to leave the Etihad Stadium at the end of the 2024–2025 season. Previously, he managed Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

November 2023 saw Guardiola sign a new two-year contract, marking his third such extension since joining Manchester City in 2016.

Although City has stalled in their pursuit of a record-breaking latest title, winning just one of their last six games. The Catalan is now vying to become the first manager to win four consecutive Premier League titles.

Reflecting on eight years of club success Guardiola has promised to keep winning trophies. Now that Manchester City become the world champions.

We got a lot of titles in Premier League, Carabao Cup, repeat a lot of trophies, it’s unbelievable what we have done. Today we celebrate on the plane, tomorrow rest“.
