Dinesh Karthik says about how the coach Rahul Dravid spoke about Bhuvneshwar Kumar for five minutes in the Indian team meeting. The finisher says that Dravid spoke about the contribution of Bhuvi in white ball cricket. After taking over as a coach, Team India has done well despite a couple of heartbreaks. India qualified for the semi-finals in the t20i world cup under the management of Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma.
Dinesh Karthik said that
“At the start of a team meeting, Rahul Dravid literally spoke about him for five minutes. Just saying that he goes very unassumed, very quiet. And I think it is very important to give the devil its due in a team meeting. He spoke about Bhuvneshwar Kumar and how he’s been profound in Indian cricket for the last so many years in white-ball cricket,”
Dinesh Karthik further added that
“That was very good to hear because a lot of times we are always fascinated with batsmanship – people obviously hitting fours and sixes – but here is one guy who has consistently performed with the ball and been a prolific performer for Team India, apart from his franchise. A lot of credit must be given to Bhuvneshwar Kumar,”
An unknown fact about Bhuvneshwar Kumar is that he is the only bowler to Take out Sachin for a duck in Ranji Trophy. This incident happened during the Ranji 2008-2009 season. Bhuvi was representing his home team Uttar Pradesh. He dismissed Sachin for a duck in the finals where Mumbai won by 243 runs.
