Real Madrid looks to be winning in the race to sign Jude Bellingham

It has been reported that Real Madrid are ahead in the race to sign Jude Bellingham. Reports claim that Bellingham’s father have held meetings with Real Madrid for a potential deal. However it was also reported earlier that the teenager was keen on signing for Liverpool. The player wanted a move to Anfield instead of any other big European club. But now it seems like Real Madrid could complete the deal of signing Jude Bellingham. This would leave many Premier League clubs in dust. Many Premier League clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea were all keen on signing the player. However as things currently stand it is Real Madrid who is likely to sign the player in the summer. News reports claim Jude Bellingham met with Real Madrid at the end of February. However things are not yet official between the two parties.

Jude Bellingham to likely end up at Real Madrid

There have not been any official talks between the two parties. But it is believed that Manchester City are also trailing closely behind Real Madrid. Furthermore it has been reported that Borussia Dortmund will ask  £131.1 million for the player. Therefore even if Real Madrid are winning the race to sign Jude Bellingham, they are not ready to pay the hefty price for the player. Manchester City on the other hand could be ready to pay such a price for the youngster. But Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti believes that they could come to a negotiation with Borussia Dortmund for Jude Bellingham. He believes that their good relations with Dortmund along with some other ground work will see them closing the deal. The fee asked for the player is a bit too much even for a player with those abilities.

It won’t be much of a surprise if Manchester City too hesitates to pay such hefty price for Jude Bellingham. They might also look for alternatives for the player. It will be interesting to see where the player would end up in the summer transfer window.
