Real Madrid want Liverpool’s star defender

Football journalist, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Real Madrid want to sign Liverpool’s defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold. Along with Jurgen Klopp’s departure, several players could follow him out. According to sources, Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk were going to leave Anfield this summer. Moreover, their contract expires in 2025. The Feyenoord manager, Arne Slot could be taking over Klopp’s role at Liverpool. Although his game play is similar to Klopp’s, Slot’s entry will open the door of opportunities for several players. Reports state that Real Madrid are keen on signing Alexander-Arnold as he is currently one of the best defender’s in the world.

While speaking about this transfer rumor, Fabrizio Romano said,

“Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of Real Madrid’s targets. They really like the player. Real Madrid will try to sign Alexander-Arnold next summer if he does not renew his contract with Liverpool.”

Romano also mentioned that the club are closely watching the Liverpool defender’s situation despite there being no concrete negotiation yet. However, with Klopp leaving this summer, several changes might take place in Liverpool’s squad as well.

Real Madrid will have a busy transfer window

After Kylian Mbappe’s confirmation this week of leaving Paris Saint-Germain, he is expected to join Real Madrid. Mbappe’s transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu has been a long awaiting transfer and will be huge for the football world. However, the La Liga giants are not only looking to gain massive players but they might also have some of their key-players leaving the Santiago Bernabeu. In the next few weeks, we will know about Luka Mordic’s future at Madrid. Moreover, another important player who might exit Real Madrid this summer is Toni Kroos and his decision will also be made after speaking to Perez. Although there is no confirmation yet, these two players could be exiting.
