Savage impressed with Szoboszlai’s excellent display this season

Pundit Robbie Savage impressed with Liverpool’s new signing Dominik Szoboszlai as he described the Hungarian midfelder as “superb” talent.

Speaking on the TEAMtalk, Savage shortlists him as the best three summer signings so far this season. Liverpool signed Szoboszlai from RB Liepzig this summer for a transfer fee of £60 million

Fans have already started comparing him with Anfield legend Steven Gerrard. Szoboszlai have already scored two goals in 11 outings for his new club this season.

Szoboszlai’s addition has been massive for Liverpool as he improved over-all performance. According to, they wrote :-

“he seems to have everything attached to his profile from physicality to technique to industry to creativity to everything in between”.

Savage names Szoboszlai in his top three summer signings

Savage names Dominik Szoboszlai in top-three alongside Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Tottenham’s James Maddinson. He said :-

“I think Szoboszlai for Liverpool has been superb.

“I think he’s only got two goals but the way Liverpool are playing and the way that Jurgen Klopp has transformed that midfield – they are far more dynamic than they were last season – and I think Szoboszlai has played a huge part of that.”

Pundit has got his verdict absolutely right as Szoboszlai has been brilliant for Liverpool. His is recent performance are already suggesting he is Steven Gerrard’s successor at Anfield.

Meanwhile, pundit Darren Bent suggests Szoboszlai has been better Arsenal’s star signing Kai Havertz in this current campaign. He said :-

“I like Szoboszlai, I think he’s got that sort of panache about him, that little bit of x-factor. I like watching him play. He gets on the ball, makes things happen.

“I can tell you now Szoboszlai’s been better than Havertz. He’s not [better than Szoboszlai].”

The 22-year-old will get better with time and hence it will be interesting to see how he fares in the upcoming campaigns.
