West Ham United have showed their intention to make big signings this summer. After manager David Moyes was sacked by the club it is clear the club needs some new changes. David Moyes helped West Ham United to win their first silverware in a long time. However the squad he left with is old and unbalanced. Also after the departure of Declan Rice the squad are lacking a proper leader figure in the team. Julen Lopetegui can start his summer transfer window by signing Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri.

Julen Lopetegui is no amateur when it comes to managing big clubs. He has managed clubs like Real Madrid before. He also has experience in the English football after he saved Wolves from relegation. His six months in Premier League before were nothing short of a miracle and we can expect to see more such moments from him.

Lopetegui left Wolves after he had a clash with the club management. Wolves sold most of their core players like Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Conor Coady, Adama Traore. This was followed by signing cost ineffective players that did not benifit the squad in long run. Now Lopetegui will take the oppurtunity to make signings suitable to his style of play.

Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri can be one of the signings this summer

Due to financial emergencies of the club Sevilla are looking to offload some of their players. Youssef En-Nesyri, who has played his entire senior career in Spain can also leave with Julen Lopetegui ready to step in. Julen Lopetegui and Youssef En-Nesyri have history together, winning the 2020 Europa League. West Ham United will be expecting Julen Lopetegui to bring similar levels of success to the club.

The Morocco striker scored once at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations this January. However missing a month of the season didn’t stop his domestic form in the slightest, scoring 20 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for Sevilla. He is regarded as a clear upgrade over current West Ham United striker Michail Antonio who future at the club is currently uncertain.

Antonio scored just seven across 32 matches in all competitions last season and will struggle to find his place given his current form. En-Nesyri will not want to miss the oppurtunity to work again with the former Spanish coach. He is also guaranteed to be the main striker of West Ham United given the situation at the club. He can provide Lopetegui with the much needed firepower required for the Premier League. The 26-year-old Moroccon striker etched his name into the Sevilla’s history books after scoring during their 2-0 win over Las Palmas. The goal in the La Liga clash with Las Palmas has cemented him to the position of the club’s fifth highest goal-scorer with 68 goals. He is only two goals behind former Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder.

West Ham United will end up facing plenty of competition

Sevilla ended their season with 14 position on the table. However En-Nesyri still had a pretty good season in this struggling Sevilla team. The Moroccan striker has been linked with AC Milan and Al Hilal, both are interested in services of the striker. Sources state that Sevilla would accept a $22 million offer. Manchester United are also reportedly lining up a £16m move to sign Sevilla striker.

Ten Hag will surely need a new and consistent striker for the squad after Hojlund’s struggling season. Sevilla will need to solve its financial problems and become more active in the transfer market to have another successful season. West Ham United also need a desperate move to improve their squad for next season.
