SOUTHAMPTON AND SASA KALAJDZIC TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY

According to reports, Southampton are interested in signing Stuggart forward Sasa Kalajdzic. This is despite the reports suggesting that the forward is now close to a move to the Wolves. However, both the interested teams have received a boost in the transfer chase. The forward asked Stuggart to leave him out of the squad this weekend.

A number of Premier League clubs explored the forward all the summer. Manchester United and Newcastle United were also monitoring his situation. However, no bids were made for the forward. Although, Wolves made a bide that was rejected. But, the club are likely to return with a second bid. Hence, Southampton will have to move fast if they want the forward seriously.

THE SAINTS ALSO NEED A FORWARD BADLY THIS TRANSFER WINDOW

The Saints also need a forward badly this transfer window. Che Adams has started the season well. However, he is yet to reach double figures in the Premier League. The forward also is an interest to Everton. Adam Armstrong has also struggled since his move to Southampton. Whereas, the new signing Sekou Mara will need time to adapt to the Premier League.

Therefore, the club will need a forward to score goals at regular intervals to avoid relegation concerns this season. Hence, Kalajdzic will be a great signing for the Saints. The forward can also play as a target man. However, there are fewer chances that Southampton will agree to pay the 25 million asking price for the forward this summer.

Sasa Kalajdzic scored an impressive 16 goals in the Bundesliga in the 2020/21 season. He also managed to score six goals last season despite the long-term injury that kept him out for most of the last season. So it is safe to say that the forward definitely knows where the back of the net is.
