Wolves are reportedly interested in signing a new striker. They reportedly want the striker to arrive before the first game of the season.

The search for a new forward is still going on. However, they are finding it difficult to sign a new striker due to the high prices.

Raul Jimenez has got an injury during the pre-season. The suggestion were it was a big injury. However, he has refuted these rumors. Although, the injury is going to make him miss two or three weeks due to injury. This means that the Mexican is out for the initial games of the season. Now Wolves manager Bruno Lage is more than desperate for a new striker.

According to reports, the club are reportedly interested in signing Blackburn Rovers goal machine Ben Brereton Diaz. However, a number of clubs around Europe are monitoring his situation. Rovers value the striker at £20 million. Another player that has been linked is Roma striker Eldor Shomurodov. The striker is valued at £16million. However, Roma are ready to accept a loan bid with a permanent obligation clause for the striker. The Uzbekistan striker is also linked with clubs across Europe.

THEY HAVE TO GET A NEW STRIKER BEFORE THE NEW SEASON STARTS

Wolves need to get a new striker in before the season starts. They have already loaned out Fabio Silva. Although, after the injury to Jimenez, they are now looking actively for a new striker. However, the club are still struggling to agree a fee. There are high chance that the club will start the new season without a new striker.

Another problem is there are chances that Ruben Neves might still leave the club. Manchester United are reportedly still keen on the midfielder. This is after their deal for Frenkie De Jong has hit a dead end. However, Wolves have not still dropped their valuation of £ 50 million. Hence, the deal is still in the discussion stage between the two clubs.

Although, the sale of Neves might be a blessing in disguise. The funds they get from his departure are going to be invested in signing his replacement and a new striker. However, the club is not keen to sell the midfielder this summer transfer window.
