Spirits High At Liverpool Despite Title Loss

Liverpool faithful must be sick of the sight of Pep Guardiola. Their team has been involved in two of the finest Premier League campaigns in history, and have nothing to show for it. Two 90+ point seasons, all lost by a single point to Guardiola’s juggernaut.

Another Premier League title was missed by them on Sunday as City completed an epic turnaround. However, Anfield remained appreciative after the game. They knew that the boys had given their all, and their efforts can be rewarded with a Champions League title come Saturday.

The League Cup and FA Cup were proudly displayed on the ground, as applause filled the red side of Merseyside. Cult hero Divock Origi received his farewell to much fanfare and was awarded for his service to the club.

Mohammed Salah and Allison Becker received their awards, capping off a superb individual campaign. Salah in particular finished with the most assists and joint-most goals with Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min. The Reds now turn their attention towards the Champions League final against Real Madrid on Saturda

Thiago’s Injury Concern for Liverpool

Salah in particular has a point to prove against the Los Blancos. The two squared off in the final in 2018 as well, where Salah was subbed off early after he dislocated his shoulder following a tangle with Sergio Ramos.

He would certainly be out there with a vengeance. He came off the bench on Sunday after being deemed not fit enough to start and scored the winner.

One concern which may bother Liverpool fans is the fitness of Thiago Alcantara. The ex-Bayern man has been in sublime form lately. However, His press resistance and ability to find runners is something that would help Liverpool greatly. He is unlikely to feature at the Parc de Princes, and this would be a huge blow.
