Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon fear Liverpool might hijack their deal for Brazilian midfielder Andre, who currently plays for Fluminense.
According to Record, Sporting Lisbon has been monitoring Andre for a lot of time now, but they now need to switch their interest on other midfielders, as Liverpool are showing interest on the youngster. Reds are in a urgent need of midfielders, after Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and most recently Fabinho and Jordan Henderson have also left the club this summer.
Spanish outlet Breaking the Lines termed Andre as a “dynamic midfielder”. In last 12 months, his reputation has taken a huge rise due to brilliant performance for his side Fluminense.
Liverpool are one of the few clubs interested in Andre this summer. However, latest update suggests that Reds could be very close to signing youngster.
Romeo Lavia is close to joining to Mersyside club and Andre could be the next one on their transfer list this summer.

Andre began his footballing career at the tender age of 10, as he had the chance to participate in a tryout for Bahia Esporte Clube in Brazil. However, he started his career as a striker, who later developed into defensive midfielder
In 2013, Andre caught the attention of Fluminense scouts, who were quick to snap him up and bring him to Rio de Janeiro. Over the next few years, he made over 80 apperances youth categories and the 19-year-old finally made his professional debut in 2020.
Back in January, Andre have linked with moves to AC Milan and Fulham. However, Fluminense rejected all the bids as he promised he will remain at the club till end of the season.
According to Sofascore, Andre has had the highest number of interceptions and recoveries with more than 200 to his name. He also completed 92% short passes and 78% of his long passes.
Andre can become a revelation at Anfield, if he continues to show his prowess in the Premier League. However, players need to be worked and coached when it comes to some aspect of the game.
