Former Indian Pacer Sreesanth says that Ashwin would be the Trump card for the T20 world cup 2021. Ashwin played impressively in the warm-up matches and have shown great signs in IPL 2021. Ravichandran Ashwin was a surprise inclusion for the tournament.

Since 2007, Ashwin had not played white-ball cricket for India. And he’s getting a second chance at such a prestigious tournament. He would have been chosen by Indian selectors because of his current outstanding play in the IPL 2021.

However, Yuzvendra Chahal, who has been an essential part of T20 cricket in International cricket for India. Chahal hasn’t been selected for the world cup this year. But Ashwin caught the eye of Kohli and the selectors for some reason. And he would be playing in the tournament as an off-spinner.

Sreesanth urges to utilize the skills of Ashwin in T20 world cup 2021

Sreesanth was a key pacer in the 2011 World Cup. When Sreesanth took the crucial catch on the final ball, India won the 2011 World Cup. That catch determined India’s fate in 2011, and Sreesanth will be remembered solely for that catch.

Recently he spoke to Sportskeeda, the pacer said, “I totally believe in our bowling attack but I also feel that it is very important to try out Ashwin to his potential”.

He also feels that if Kohli would open with Rohit Sharma then team India will be a superior squad.

And, in fact, his thesis is well-made. KL Rahul has already reached the pinnacle of his career. As a result, given the dilemma, Team India may employ him in the middle order. Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya have both struggled recently. As a result, this decision may turn out to be a fantastic one.
