Thiago ruled out of Man City Clash and Bajcetic confirms injury

Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara has been ruled out of Manchester City clash on Saturday.

Football Insider report suggests, Thiago has not recovered from hip injury in time. He sustained the injury following Liverpool’s 3:0 defeat to Wolves at Molineux in February.

Earlier it was reported that the Spaniard was out for four weeks. Liverpool staff members were hopeful the would return to first-team action after the international break.

But he is yet to feature in the team-sheet and therefore Thiago is out for Man City clash.

Stefan Bajcetic has confirmed that he has been ruled out for rest of the season due to injury.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed that the young Spaniard was suffering from adductor problem. However, the manager could not put a time frame on his return date.

Bajcetic has posted on Instagram and confirmed that he will not feature for Reds this season. He wrote :-

“Unfortunately I’ve picked up an injury that will keep me out until the end of the season.

“It’s very sad to say goodbye to this amazing season for me but I understand this is part of football and will only make me stronger physically and mentally.

“I would also like to say thank you to you reds for all the support throughout the season and I assure you I will do my best to be back stronger than ever.”

Bajcetic will be a important miss as he was quite impressive in recent months.
