Thomas Frank comes to aid for Gabriel Maghalaes

Arsenal

Thomas Frank, the Brentford manager, has come out to defend Gabriel Maghalaes. The defender had a horrible outing against West Ham. He has been solid and brilliant throughout the season alongside his teammate William Saliba. Since Saliba has been out injured his performances have dropped. Rob Holding isn’t the one who has the characteristics of William Saliba. Gabriel has proved throughout the season that he is a solid player if he has a supporting partnership. However, Frank came out to defend Gabriel Maghalaes and that he understands his style of play.

Thomas Frank speaks frankly about Gabriel Maghalaes

Thomas Frank has defended Gabriel Magalhaes after his performance during Arsenal’s 2-2 draw against West Ham. He went on to say how football is ‘mental’ sometimes. Frank said that the Arsenal centre-back is a ‘great’ player. He further went on to say he is someone who will get ‘better and better’ despite a game to forget against the Hammers.

Thomas Frank says:-

“It’s interesting because he’s a great player,” said Frank. “We have played them twice and I think he is a fantastic centre-back. I think he will get better and better.

“In other games, he would just chest it down calm and composed. Football is so mental in confidence and in games. How it can change. It can happen to everyone.”

Lightning struck twice for Arsenal as the bottled a 2-0 lead twice. First vs Liverpool and now vs West Ham. The issue for Gunner’s is that, after a great opening half an hour during their last two games, they have stopped doing what has got them to the top of the table this season. If Arsenal need to go all the way they need to stop conceding sloppy goals. They need to be fully concentrated on the title. Manchester City are just behind them and anymore mistake from Arsenal will have serious consequences.
